Zamojska Akademia Kultury zaprasza na wyjątkowe warsztaty kaligraficzne „Listy od Zamoyskich – spotkanie przy piórze”, które odbędą się 13 marca 2026 r. o godz. 11:00 na ekspozycji Dzieje Akademii Zamojskiej i drukarni akademickiej. Wydarzenie łączy w sobie historię, sztukę pięknego pisma oraz unikatową możliwość obcowania z dawną korespondencją jednej z najważniejszych rodzin w dziejach Rzeczypospolitej.
Podczas spotkania uczestnicy poznają wybrane listy powstałe w najbliższym kręgu rodziny Zamoyskich – zarówno te o charakterze prywatnym, jak i oficjalnym. Korespondencja, jako jedna z najbardziej osobistych form przekazu, pozwala zajrzeć w codzienność Ordynatów Zamoyskich, ich relacje, troski i obowiązki, a także lepiej zrozumieć realia epoki, w której żyli.
W części praktycznej uczestnicy przeniosą się do dawnego Zamościa, próbując swoich sił w pisaniu piórem i atramentem. Pod okiem prowadzących stworzą własne zapiski inspirowane historycznymi listami, odkrywając, jak wiele uroku i uważności kryje się w tradycyjnej sztuce epistolarnej.

Zamość Academy of Culture invites you to the exceptional calligraphy workshop “Letters from the Zamoyski Family – a meeting at the quill”, which will take place on 13 March 2026 at 11:00 a.m. in the exhibition The History of the Zamość Academy and the Academic Printing House. The event combines history, the art of beautiful writing, and a unique opportunity to engage with the correspondence of one of the most important families in the history of the Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth.
During the workshop, participants will explore selected letters written within the close circle of the Zamoyski family — both private and official. As one of the most personal forms of communication, correspondence offers a glimpse into the everyday lives of the Zamoyski estate holders, their relationships, concerns, and responsibilities, as well as a deeper understanding of the era in which they lived.
In the practical part of the workshop, participants will step back into old Zamość, trying their hand at writing with a quill and ink. Under the guidance of the instructors, they will create their own notes inspired by historical letters, discovering the charm and attentiveness embedded in traditional epistolary art.
Participation in the workshop is available at the price of a discounted ticket to the museum exhibition.
