Jan Zamoyski – an outstanding diplomat, politician, hetman, Grand Chancellor of the Crown, founder of the Zamość Academy and the Zamość Entail. A man ahead of his time, who left a lasting mark on the history of Poland.
On June 3, 1605, at the age of 63, surrounded by family and loved ones, he passed away due to a heart attack. Yet his legacy has endured – in the walls of Zamość, in its culture, architecture, and in the memory of generations.
