Pierwszy wykład: „Tadeusz Kościuszko w Zamościu”
Wykład poprowadzi dr Jacek Feduszka, historyk i kustosz Muzeum Zamojskiego, specjalizujący się w dziejach miasta, twierdzy oraz epoce napoleońskiej. Prelekcja przybliży mniej znane fakty dotyczące pobytu Tadeusza Kościuszki w Zamościu oraz kontekst historyczny tego okresu.

- dzieje i funkcjonowanie Akademii Zamojskiej,
- środowisko intelektualne i działalność drukarni akademickiej,
- edukację młodzieży szlacheckiej,

- historię miasta i regionu w perspektywie kultury i życia codziennego.

The Zamość Museum invites you to the inauguration of a new lecture series, Images of the Past, organized in the jubilee year marking the 100th anniversary of the Zamość Museum. The series will focus on the history, architecture, and everyday life of the former Zamość Academy, presenting Zamość as an important center of learning, culture, and ideas.
First lecture: “Tadeusz Kościuszko in Zamość”
The lecture will be delivered by Dr. Jacek Feduszka, historian and curator at the Zamość Museum, specializing in the history of the city, the fortress, and the Napoleonic era. The presentation will shed light on lesser-known facts about Tadeusz Kościuszko’s stay in Zamość and the historical context of that period.

About the series
Images of the Past is a year-long lecture cycle whose program refers to important anniversaries of 2026, including the 200th anniversary of the death of Stanisław Staszic and the 170th anniversary of the death of Stanisław Kostka Zamoyski. The meetings will present:
- the history and functioning of the Zamość Academy,
- the intellectual environment and activities of the academic printing house,
- the education of noble youth,
- the artistic patronage of the Zamoyski family,
- the history of the city and region from the perspective of culture and everyday life.
The series is open to all those interested in history and culture, including seniors and residents of the region.
