The Zamojska Akademia Kultury together with the Film Club “Senso” warmly invite you to a film meeting from the Cinema for Connoisseurs series. In December, the screen will feature BUGONIA – the latest film by visionary director Yorgos Lanthimos, whose style captivates audiences worldwide. The screening will take place on December 18, 2025 at 6:30 PM in the cinema hall of the Zamojska Akademia Kultury, 2nd floor, entrance from Akademicka and Pereca streets (elevator available).
In his new film Bugonia, we will see Oscar‑winner Emma Stone alongside Jesse Plemons. Bugonia follows two young men obsessed with conspiracies. They kidnap the head of a large corporation, convinced she is an alien planning to destroy Earth.
Lanthimos’s prolific body of work includes remarkable films such as Dogtooth, the Oscar‑nominated The Lobster, the Palme d’Or‑nominated The Killing of a Sacred Deer, and The Favourite, which earned Olivia Colman an Academy Award for Best Actress. His triumphant film Poor Things received 11 Oscar nominations and won four statuettes, including Best Actress for Emma Stone.
