🖼️ Zamość Illustration Center invites you to the exhibition: “Henryk Sienkiewicz’s Works in Illustration.”
📅 Dates: November 29, 2024 – February 8, 2025
The exhibition at the Zamość Illustration Center (ZAK) presents works dedicated to national classics, created during two plein‑air workshops organized by the Zamość Bureau of Artistic Exhibitions in 1995 and 2016.
- In 1995, during the 12th edition of the National Plein‑Air for Illustrators, the event was organized to mark upcoming anniversaries related to the great writer: the 150th anniversary of his birth, the 80th anniversary of his death, and 100 years since the publication of Quo Vadis.
- In 2016, during the 32nd International Plein‑Air for Illustrators, the event was held in connection with the Polish Senate’s declaration of 2016 as the Year of Henryk Sienkiewicz. On the centenary of his death, the aim was to pay tribute to this great Pole and contribute to the popularization of his works and the values contained in them – above all patriotism and attachment to traditional values.
The exhibition features dozens of works. The authors include: Elżbieta Dudek, Joanna Hrk, Marianna Jagoda‑Mioduszewska, Zbigniew Kołaczek, Adam Kurłowicz, Irena Łakomiec‑Kamińska, Dariusz Łukasik, Elżbieta & Marian Murawscy, Irina Mazurek‑Novikowa, Zuzanna Orlińska, Leszek Ołdak, Stanisław Ożóg, Jacek & Stanisław Pasieczny, Dariusz Piekut, Piotr Rychel, Janusz Stanny, Teresa Wilbik, Magdalena Wosik, Agnieszka Żmudzińska.
